सूरा-साद

| मक्का कालीन | आयत 88 | 

अल्लाह के नाम से जो बहुत मेहरबान, रहम करने वाला है।

साद| नसीहत देने वाले कुरआन की कसम! (1) 

(आप की दावत बर हक है, बल्कि जिन लोगों ने कुफ़ किया वह घमंड और मुखालिफ़त में हैं। (2) 

कितनी ही उम्मतें उन से कब्ल हम ने हलाक कर दी तो वह फर्याद करने लगे और (अब) छुटकारे का वक्त न था। (3) 

और उन्हों ने तअज्जुब किया कि उन के पास उन में से एक डराने वाला आया, और काफिरों ने कहाः यह जादूगर है, झूटा है। (4) 

क्या उस ने सारे माबूदों को बना दिया है एक माबूद, बेशक यह तो एक बड़ी अजीब बात है। (5) 

और उन के कई सरदार यह कहते हुए चल पड़े कि चलो और अपने माबूदों पर जमे रहो, बेशक यह सोची समझी स्कीम है। (6) 

हम ने पिछले मजहब में ऐसी (बात) नहीं सुनी, यह तो महज़ मन घड़त है। (7) 

क्या हम में से उसी परे अल्लाह का कलाम नाज़िल क्या गया? (हाँ) बल्कि वह शक में हैं मेरी नसीहत से, बल्कि (अभी) उन्हों ने मेरा अज़ाब नहीं चखा| (8) 

क्या तुम्हारे रब की रहमत के खजाने उन के पास है? जो गालिब. बहुत अता करने वाला है। (9) 

क्या उन के लिए है बादशाहत आस्मानों की और जमीन की और जो उन के दरमियान है? तो वह (आस्मानों पर चढ़ जाएं रससियां तान कर। (10) 

शिकस्त खूर्दा गिरोहों में से यह भी एक लशकर है। (11) 

उन से पहले झुटलाया कौमे नूह (अ) ने और आद और मीखों वाले फ़िरऔन ने। (12) 

और समूद और कौमे लूत, और अयका वालों ने, गिरीह वह थे। (13) 

उन सब ने रसूलों को झुटलाया, पर (उन पर) अजाब आ पड़ा। (14) 

और इन्तिज़ार नहीं करते यह लोग मगर एक चिंघाड़ का, जिस में कोई ढील (गुनजाइश) न होगी। (15) 

और उन्हों ने (मज़ाक के तौर पर) कहा कि ऐ हमारे रवः हमें जल्दी दे हमारा हिस्सा रोजे हिसाब से पहले| (16) 

जो वह कहते हैं उस पर आप (स) सबर करें, और याद करें हमारे बन्दे दाऊद (अ) कुव्वत वाले को, बेशक वह खूब रुजूअ करने वाला था। (17) 

बेशक हम ने पहाड़ उस के साथ मुसख्खर कर दिए थे, वह सुबह ओ शाम तस्बीह करते थे। (18) 

और इकटठे किए हुए परिन्दे (भी उस के मुसख्खर थे) सब उस की तरफ़ रुजूअ करने वाले थे। (19) 

और हम ने उस की बादशाहत मजबूत की और उस को हिक्मत दी और फैसला कुन खिताब| (20) 

और क्या आप (स) के पास झगड़ने वालों (अहले मुकद्दमा) की ख़बर पहुँची? जब वह दीवार फांद कर मेहराब में आ गए। (21) 

जब वह दाखिल हुए दाऊद (अ) के पास तो वह उन से घबरागए। उन लोगों ने कहाः डरो नहीं, हम दो झगड़ने वाले (अहले मुकद्दमा) हैं, हम में से एक ने दूसरे पर ज़ियादती की है तो आप हमारे दरमियान फैसला कर दें हक के साथ, और बेइनसाफी न करें, और सीधे रास्ते की तरफ़ हमारी रहनुमाई करें। (22) 

बेशक मेरे इस भाई के पास निन्यानवे (99) दुबियां हैं और मेरे पास (सिर्फ एक दुंबी है, पर उस ने कहा कि वह (भी) मेरे हवाले कर दे, और उस ने मुझे गुफ्तगू में दबाया है। (23) 

दाऊद (अ) ने कहाः सचमुच उस ने तेरी दुंबी मांग कर जुल्म किया है (कि) अपनी दुवियों के साथ मिलाले, और बेशक अक्सर साथी एक दूसरे पर जियादती किया करते हैं सिवाए उन के जो ईमान लाए और उन्हों ने नेक अमल किए और (ऐसे लोग) बहुत कम हैं, और दाऊद (अ) ने ख़याल किया कि हम ने कुछ उसे आज़माया है तो उस ने अपने रब से मगफिरत तलब की, और झुक कर (सिज्दे में) गिर गया। (24) 

पर हम ने बख्श दी उस की यह (लगज़िश), और बेशक उस के लिए हमारे पास कुर्ब और अच्छा ठिकाना है। (25) 

ऐ दाऊद (अ)! बेशक हम ने तुझे बनाया ज़मीन (मुल्क) में नाइब, सो तू लोगों के दरमियान हक़ (इंसाफ़) के साथ फैसला कर और (अपनी) खाहिश की पैरवी न कर कि वह तुझे भटका दे अल्लाह के रास्ते से, बेशक जो लोग अल्लाह के रास्ते से भटकते हैं उन के लिए शदीद अज़ाब है इस लिए कि उन्हों ने रोजे हिसाब को भुला दिया। (26) 

और हम ने आस्मान और जमीन और जो उन के दरमियान है बातिल (बेकार खाली अज़ हिक्मत) नहीं पैदा किया, यह गुमान है (उन लोगों का) जिन्हों ने कुफ़ किया, पर खराबी है काफिरों के लिए आग से। (27) 

क्या हम कर देंगे? उन लोगों को जो ईमान लाए और उन्हों ने अच्छे अमल किए उन लोगों की तरह जो जमीन में फ़साद फैलाते हैं? क्या हम परहेज़गारों को कर देंगे फ़ाजिरों (बदकिरदारों) की तरह? (28) 

हम ने आप की तरफ़ एक मुबारक किताब नाज़िल की ताकि वह उस की आयात पर गौर करें, और ताकि अक्ल वाले नसीहत पकड़ें। (29) 

और हम ने दाऊद (अ) को सुलेमान (अ) अता किया, बहुत अच्छा बन्दा, बेशक वह (अल्लाह की तरफ़) रुजूअ करने वाला था। (30) 

(वह वक्त याद करो) जब शाम के वक्त उस के सामने पेश किए गए असील, उम्दा घोड़े। (31) 

तो उस ने कहाः बेशक मैं ने अपने रब की याद की वजह से माल की मुहब्बत को दोस्त रखा, यहां तक कि (घोड़े) छुप गए (दूरी के) परदे में| (32) 

उन (घोड़ों) को मेरे सामने फेर लाओ, फिर वह उन की पिंडलियों और गर्दनों पर हाथ फेरने लगा। (33) 

और अलबत्ता हम ने सुलेमान (अ) की आज़माइश की और हम ने उस के तख्त पर एक धड़ डाला, फिर उस ने (अल्लाह की तरफ़) रुजूअ किया। (34) 

उस ने कहा ऐ मेरे रब! तू मुझे बख्श दे और मुझे ऐसी सलतनत अता फरमा दे जो मेरे बाद किसी को सज़ावार (मयस्सर) न हो, बेशक तू ही अता करने वाला है। (35) 

फिर हम ने मुसख्खर कर दिया उस के लिए हवा को, जहां वह पहुंचना चाहता, वह उस के हुक्म से नर्म नर्म चलती। (36) 

और तमाम जिन्नात (ताबे कर दिए) इमारत बनाने वाले और गोता मारने वाले| (37) 

और दूसरे जनजीरों में जकड़े हुए। (38) 

यह हमारा अतिया है, अब तू एहसान कर या रख छोड़ हिसाब के बगैर (तुम से कुछ हिसाब न होगा)। (39)

और बेशक उस के लिए हमारे पास अलबत्ता कुर्ब और अच्छा ठिकाना है। (40)

और आप (स) याद करें हमारे बन्दे अय्यूब (अ) को जब उस ने अपने रब को पुकारा कि मुझे शैतान ने ईजा और दुख पहुंचाया है। (41) 

(हम ने फ़रमाया) ज़मीन पर मार अपना पाऊँ, यह (लो) गुस्ल के लिए ठंडा और पीने के लिए (शीरीं पानी)। (42) 

और हम ने उस के अहले खाना और उन के साथ उन जैसे (और भी) अता किए (यह) हमारी तरफ़ से रहमत और अक्ल वालों के लिए नसीहत। (43) 

और अपने हाथ में झाडू ले और तू उस से (अपनी बीवी को) मार, और कसम न तोड़, बेशक हम ने उसे साबिर पाया (और) अच्छा बन्दा, बेशक अल्लाह की तरफ़ रुजूअ करने वाला। (44) 

और आप (स) हमारे बन्दों इब्राहीम (अ) और इसहाक (अ) और याकूब (अ) को याद करें जो हाथों वाले और आँखों वाले (इल्म ओ अक्ल की कुव्वतों वाले) थे| (45) 

हम ने उन्हें एक खास सिफ़त से मुमताज़ किया (और वह है) याद आखिरत के घर की| (46) 

और बेशक वह हमारे नजदीक चुने हुए सब से अच्छे लोगों में से थे। (47) 

और आप (स) याद करें इस्माईल (अ) और अलयसअ (अ) और जुलकिफ्ल (अ) को, और यह तमाम ही सब से अच्छे लोगों में से थे| (48) 

यह एक नसीहत है, और परहेज़गारों के लिए अलबत्ता अच्छा ठिकाना है। (49) 

हमेशा रहने के बागात, जिन के दरवाजे उन के लिए खुले होंगे। (50) 

उन में तकिया लगाए हुए होंगे, और उन में मंगवाएंगे मेवे बहुत से और मशरूबात। (51) 

और उन के पास नीची निगाह रखने वाली (बा हया) हम उस (औरतें होंगी। (52) 

यह है जिस का तुम से वादा किया जाता है रोजे हिसाव के लिए। (53) 

बेशक यह हमारा रिजक है, उस को (कभी) ख़तम होना नहीं। (54) 

यह है (जजा)। और बेशक सरकों के लिए अलबत्ता बुरा ठिकाना है। (55) 

(यानी) जहन्नम, जिस में वह दाखिल होंगे, सो बुरा है फर्श (उन की आरामगाह)। (56) 

यह खौलता हुआ पानी और पीप है. पर तुम उस को चखो। (57) 

और उस के अलावा उस की शक्ल की कई किस्में होंगी। (58) 

यह एक जमाअत है जो तुम्हारे साथ (जहन्नम में) दाखिल हो रही है, उन्हें कोई फ़राखी न हो, बेशक वह जहन्नम में दाखिल होने वाले हैं। (59) 

वह कहेंगेः बल्कि तुम्हें कोई फ़राखी न हो, बेशक तुम ही हमारे लिए यह (मुसीबत) आगे लाए हो, सो बुरा है ठिकाना| (60) 

वह कहेंगे, ऐ हमारे रब! जो हमारे लिए यह (मुसीबत) आगे लाया है तू जहन्नम में (उस के लिए) अजाब दो चन्द कर दे| (61) 

और वह कहेंगे हमें क्या हुआ? हम (दोजख में) उन लोगों को नहीं देखते जिन्हें हम बुरे लोगों में शुमार करते थे। (62) 

क्या हम ने उन्हें ठठे में पकड़ा था? या कज हो गई हैं उन से (हमारी) आँखें? (63) बेशक अहले दोज़ख का बाहम यह झगड़ना बिलकुल सच है। (64) 

आप (स) फ़रमा दें: इस के सिवा नहीं कि मैं डराने वाला हूँ और अल्लाह के सिवा कोई माबूद नहीं, वह यकता ज़बरदस्त है। (65) 

परवरदिगार है आस्मानों का और जमीन का और जो उन दोनों के दरमियान है, गालिब, बड़ा बख्शने वाला। (66) 

आप फ़रमा दें यह एक बड़ी ख़बर है। (67) 

तुम उस से बेपरवाह हो। (68) 

मुझे कुछ खबर न थी आलमे बाला (बुलन्द क़द्र फ़रिश्तों) की जब वह बाहम झगड़ते थे| (69) 

मेरी तरफ़ इस के सिवा वहि नहीं की जाती कि मैं साफ़ साफ़ डराने वाला हूँ। (70) 

(याद करो) जब तुम्हारे रब ने कहा फरिश्तों को कि मैं मिट्टी से एक बशर पैदा करने वाला हूँ। (71) 

फिर जब मैं उसे दुरुस्त कर दूं और उस में अपनी रूह से फूंक दूं तो तुम गिर पड़ी उस के आगे सिजदा करते हुए। (72) 

पर सब फ़रिश्तों ने इकटठे सिजदा किया। (73) 

सिवाए इब्लीस के, उस ने तकब्बुर किया और वह हो गया काफ़िरों में से| (74) 

(अल्लाह ने) फ़रमाया ऐ इब्लीस! उस को सिजदा करने से तुझे किस ने मना किया (रोका) जिसे मैं ने अपने हाथों से पैदा किया? क्या तू ने तकब्बुर किया (अपने को बड़ा समझा) या तू बुलन्द दरजे वालों में से है? (75) 

उस ने कहाः मैं उस से बेहतर हूँ, तू ने मुझे आग से पैदा किया और उसे पैदा किया मिट्टी से| (76) 

(अल्लाह तआला ने) फ़रमायाः पर यहां से निकल जा क्योंकि तू रांदा-ए-दरगाह है। (77) 

और बेशक तुझ पर मेरी लानत रहेगी रोजे कियामत तक| (78) 

उस ने कहा ऐ मेरे रब! मुझे उस दिन तक मोहलत दे जिस दिन (मुर्दे) उठाए जाएंगे| (79) 

(अल्लाह ने) फ़रमायाः पर तू मोहलत दिए जाने वालों में से है। (80) 

उस दिन तक जिस का वक़्त मुझे मालूम है। (81) 

उस ने कहा मुझे तेरी इज्जत की कसम! मैं उन सब को जरूर गुमराह करूंगा। (82) 

उन में से तेरे मुखलिस (खास) बन्दों के सिवा| (83) 

(अल्लाह ने) फ़रमायाः यह सच है और मैं सच ही कहता हूँ। (84) 

मैं जरूर जहन्नम भर दूंगा तुझ से और उन सब से जो तेरे पीछे चलें। (85) 

आप (स) फ़रमा देंः मैं तुम से इस (तबलीगे कुरआन) पर कोई अजर नहीं मांगता, और नहीं हूँ मैं बनावट करने वालों में से| (86) 

यह (कुरआन) नहीं है मगर तमाम जहानों के लिए नसीहत | (87) 

और उस का हाल तुम एक वक्त के बाद (जल्द ही) ज़रूर जान लोगे। (88)

38. SAAD

(Saad)

In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful.

1. Saad. By the renowned Quran.

2. Those who disbelieve are steeped in arrogance and defiance.

3. How many generations have We destroyed before them? They cried out when it was too late to escape.

4. And they marveled that a warner has come to them from among them. The disbelievers said, “This is a lying magician.”

5. “Did he turn all the gods into one God? This is something strange.”

6. The notables among them announced: “Go on, and hold fast to your gods. This is something planned.

7. We never heard of this in the former faith. This is nothing but a fabrication.

8. Was the message sent down to him, out of all of us?” In fact, they are doubtful of My warning. In fact, they have not yet tasted My punishment.

9. Or do they possess the treasuries of the mercy of your Lord—the Majestic, the Giver?

10. Or do they possess the sovereignty of the heavens and the earth and what is between them? Then let them ascend the ropes.

11. An army of confederates with be defeated there.

12. Before them the people of Noah denied the truth, as did Aad, and Pharaoh of the Stakes.

13. And Thamood, and the people of Lot, and the dwellers of the Woods—these were the confederates.

14. None of them but denied the messengers, so My retribution was deserved.

15. These can expect only a single scream, from which there is no recovery.

16. And they say, “Our Lord, hasten Your writ upon us, before the Day of Account.”

17. Be patient in the face of what they say, and mention Our servant David, the resourceful. He was obedient.

18. We committed the mountains to glorify with him, in the evening and at daybreak.

19. And the birds, gathered together. All obedient to him.

20. And We strengthened his kingdom, and gave him wisdom and decisive speech.

21. Has the story of the two disputants reached you? When they scaled the sanctuary?

22. When they entered upon David, and he was startled by them. They said, “Do not fear. Two disputants; one of us has wronged the other; so judge between us fairly, and do not be biased, and guide us to the straight way.” 

23. “This brother of mine has ninety nine ewes, and I have one ewe, and he said, ‘Entrust it to me,’ and he pressured me with words.”

24. He said, “He has done you wrong by asking your ewe in addition to his ewes. Many partners take advantage of one another, except those who believe and do good deeds, but these are so few.” David realized that We were testing him, so he sought forgiveness from his Lord, and fell down to his knees, and repented.

25. So We forgave him that. And for him is nearness to Us, and a good place of return.

26. “O David, We made you a ruler in the land, so judge between the people with justice, and do not follow desire, lest it diverts you from God’s path. Those who stray from God’s path will have a painful punishment, for having ignored the Day of Account.”

27. We did not create the heaven and the earth and everything between them in vain. That is the assumption of those who disbelieve—so woe to those who disbelieve because of the Fire.

28. Or are We to treat those who believe and do righteous deeds like those who make trouble on earth? Or are We to treat the pious like the shameless?

29. A blessed Book that We sent down to you, that they may ponder its Verses, and for those with intelligence to take heed.

30. And We granted David, Solomon, an excellent servant. He was penitent.

31. When the beautiful horses were paraded before him in the evening.

32. He said, “I have preferred the love of niceties to the remembrance of my Lord— until it disappeared behind the veil.

33. Bring them back to me.” And he began caressing their legs and necks.

34. We tested Solomon, and placed a body on his throne; then he repented.

35. He said, “My Lord, forgive me, and grant me a kingdom never to be attained by anyone after me. You are the Giver.”

36. So We placed the wind at his service, blowing gently by his command, wherever he directed.

37. And the demons—every builder and diver.

38. And others fettered in chains.

39. “This is Our gift; so give generously, or withhold; without account.”

40. For him is nearness to Us, and a beautiful resort.

41. And mention Our servant Job, when he called out to his Lord, “Satan has afflicted me with hardship and pain.”

42. “Stamp with your foot—here is cool water to wash with, and to drink.”

43. And We restored his family for him, and their like with them; as a mercy from Us, and a lesson for those who possess insight.

44. “Take with your hand a bundle, and strike with it, and do not break your oath.”  We found him patient. What an excellent servant! He was obedient.

45. And mention Our servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob—endowed with ability and vision.

46. We distinguished them with a distinct quality: the remembrance of the Home.

47. To Us they are among the chosen, the outstanding.

48. And mention Ishmael, Elisha, and Ezekiel; all are among the outstanding.

49. This is a reminder. The devout will have a good place of return.

50. The Gardens of Eden, with their doors wide-open for them.

51. Relaxing therein, and calling for abundant fruit and beverage.

52. With them will be attendants with modest gaze, of same age.

53. This is what you are promised for the Day of Account.

54. Such is Our bounty, inexhaustible.

55. All This. But the transgressors will have a miserable return.

56. Hell; in which they will roast; what a miserable abode!

57. All this. Let them taste it—boiling and bitter cold.

58. And similar torments of diverse kinds.

59. “This is a crowd rushing headlong with you.” There is no welcome for them. They will be scorched by the Fire.

60. They will say, “But it is you! There is no welcome for you! It is you who brought it upon us! What a miserable end!”

61. They will say, “Our Lord, whoever brought this upon us, give him double torment in the Fire.”

62. And they will say, “What is it with us that we do not see men we used to count among the wicked?

63. Did we take them for mockery, or have our eyes swerved from them?

64. This is certainly true—the feuding of the people of the Fire.

65. Say, “I am only a warner, and there is no god except God—the One, the Conqueror.

66. The Lord of the heavens and the earth, and everything between them; the Mighty, the Forgiver.”

67. Say, “It is a message of great importance.

68. From which you are turning away.

69. I have no knowledge of the Highest Assembly as they dispute.

70. It is only revealed to me that I am a clear warner.”

71. Your Lord said to the angels, “I am creating a human being from clay.

72. When I have formed him, and breathed into him of My spirit, fall prostrate before him.

73. So the angels fell prostrate, all of them. 

74. Except for Satan. He was too proud, and one of the faithless.

75. He said, “O Satan, what prevented you from prostrating before what I created with My Own hands? Are you too proud, or were you one of the exalted?”

76. He said, “I am better than he; You created me from fire, and You created him from clay.”

77. He said, “Then get out of here! You are an outcast!

78. And My curse will be upon you until the Day of Judgment.”

79. He said, “Lord, defer me until the Day they are resurrected.”

80. He said, “You are one of those deferred.

81. Until the Day of the Time Appointed.”

82. He said, “By Your majesty, I will seduce them all. 83. Except for your loyal servants among them.”

84. He said, “The truth is, and I say the truth.

85. I will fill Hell with you, and with every one of them who follows you.”

86. Say, “I ask of you no wage for this, and I am not a pretender.

87. It is but a reminder to mankind. 88. And you will know its message after a while.”
